IS THIS TALK THERAPY?

No. We are Licensed Professional Counselors and trained in talk therapy practices. Though that’s part of our professional background, what we practice is somatic therapy — body-based work, not talk therapy. We work directly with your physiology to identify and discharge stress patterns stored in the body. It’s nervous system work, not a conversation about your thoughts.

Can this approach help with mental health experiences like anxiety, depression, or PTSD, or just physical conditions?

Yes. As Licensed Professional Counselors, we’re clinically trained and licensed to diagnose and treat mental health conditions, including complex PTSD, anxiety, and depression, and other mental health conditions; our clinical background is part of what we bring to this work.

Our approach remains consistent because the mind and body are never truly separate, and we find these experiences are best supported through an integrative approach.

If you’re already working with a therapist or psychiatrist, this is designed to complement that care, not replace it. We’re glad to coordinate directly with your provider.

DO YOU OFFER TELEHEALTH?

Limited telehealth is available for established clients only. New client intake is in-person at our Paoli, PA office.

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH SESSION OR PROTOCOL IS RIGHT FOR ME?

Reach out to us for a free 15-minute call, and we’ll be happy to talk through what options seem best for your specific situation.

Do you work with my physical therapist, chiropractor, or trainer?

Yes, as appropriate and with your consent. Integrative Collaboration is one of our core values. We coordinate directly with PTs, chiropractors, team trainers, orthopedic specialists, counselors, and other providers as a regular part of how we work.

How Is This Different From Sports Psychology or Mental Performance Coaching?

Mental performance coaching and sports psychology generally work through the psychological and cognitive side of performance by processing performance anxiety, mindset, and mental skills through talk-based methods.

Our work is physiological. We treat the body as the primary source of information rather than the mind by working directly with the autonomic nervous system to identify and discharge hidden stress loops stored in the body.

A session with us looks like hands-on, somatic, muscle-testing-guided work aimed at your physiology, not a conversation about your mindset or your thoughts. If a performance block, a lingering injury pattern, chronic pain, or post-sport identity challenges has a nervous-system component, we explore that through our mind-body approach.

When another provider might be the better fit?

If what you’re looking for is specifically talk-based mental skills training then a sports psychologist or a mental performance coach may be the right starting point. We’re glad to help point you in that direction if that’s the case. Where our work often complements that kind of support is on the physiological side: the hesitation, the stress loops, the nervous system dysregulation that talk-based approaches alone don’t always reach.
