THE CROSSOVER METHOD

You Don't Need to Prepare.
You Just Need to Show Up.

Most people arrive at their first session not knowing what to expect. That’s exactly why we built this page.

Everything at Crossover is designed to remove uncertainty before you walk in the door. Your space will be ready. Your folder will be waiting. The only thing you need to bring is yourself, exactly as you are today.

Here’s exactly what your first session looks like.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

There’s no check-in desk. No clipboard. No waiting room. When you walk in, your folder will be waiting in the basket. Everything you need is already there.

Your clinician will come find you when it’s time. Until then, the space is yours.

Most people arrive carrying the full weight of their day. Traditional therapy starts the moment you sit down, which means the first fifteen minutes is spent helping your nervous system catch up. We don’t do that.

Your first visit: We walk through the movement process together so nothing feels foreign. After that, you self-direct.

THE CROSSOVER WINDOW · 15 MINUTES

Your Nervous System Warm-Up

Athletes don’t compete without warming up. You don’t process without preparing your body first.

The Crossover Window is a 15-minute guided movement practice. We use one of the oldest nervous system regulation systems in existence, developed over a thousand years ago and now backed by modern neuroscience. Your process is already planned. You follow along. Nothing to figure out.

By the time we come to find you, your nervous system has already shifted, from the weight of your day into a state that can actually receive and process what we do together.

You don’t need to know anything about our movement process. You don’t need to have done it before. The practice builds week over week, by session six you’ll have the complete foundation sequence. But today you just start with learning the routine.

THE INTEGRATIVE SESION · 60 MINUTES

Body-First. Client-Led.

This is where the real work happens, but probably not the way you’re imagining.

We’re not going to ask you to lie on a couch and talk about your childhood. We’re not going to hand you a worksheet. We’re not going to ask you to relive anything before you’re ready. What we do is follow what your body shows us.

Some sessions are predominantly relational; we talk, we build trust, we understand your story on your terms. Most sessions blend NET and IFS fluidly based on what your nervous system reveals in the moment. There’s no script. No checklist. No protocol applied regardless of where you are.

You will never be asked to do more than your system is ready for.

THE CROSSOVER COOL-DOWN · 15 MINUTES+

Integration Before You Return To Your Day

We don’t end sessions by opening the door and saying see you next week.

After The Integrative Session your clinician asks one question:

On a scale of 0-10, where is your body right now?

Zero is numb or depleted. Ten is activated or restless. Your number tells us which zone your nervous system needs for integration. Your folder contains your personal Cool-Down guide — the full scale, all three zones, and exactly what each one does. Everything you need is there.

The Stress Studio

Your nervous system is numb, flat, or dissociated. Light hand-based activity gently brings it back online without overwhelming it.

Coloring · Watercolor · Origami

Nothing to finish. Just let your hands move.

The Lounge

You’re settled. This time is for integration, letting the session land before you return to your day.

Rocking chair · Tea · Music

Integration happens in the quiet.

The Fitness Studio

Your nervous system needs to complete the stress cycle through movement. You’ll start with rhythm, not intensity.

Walking · Resistance bands · Light free movement

Move until you feel the shift.

There is no time limit. You leave when your nervous system is ready, not when the clock says so.

THE CLOSING RITUAL

Before you leave, return your folder to the basket. Notice one word for how you arrived today. Notice one word for how you’re leaving.

Then touch the enso on the way out.

The enso is a Zen brushstroke circle representing completion and wholeness. Every athlete knows a version of this: the hand slap leaving the locker room, the sign above the tunnel, the ritual that marks the transition from one state to another.

This is ours.

Cross Over.

A Few Things People Ask Before Their First Visit

Do I need to know anything before I come?

No. We walk through everything together on your first visit. You don’t need to prepare anything or research anything. Just show up.

Comfortable clothes you can move in. You’ll be doing qigong and may use the fitness studio during your Cool-Down. Athletic wear is perfect.

You never have to talk about anything before you’re ready. We follow your pace, always. Parts of your story will come up when your system feels safe enough, not before.

Some processing brings things to the surface temporarily. The Crossover Cool-Down is specifically designed so you don’t leave mid-process. If something still feels unresolved after you go, reach out. We’re here.

We start with the body, not the mind. The full 90-minute arc (preparation, processing, integration, and closing) is fundamentally different from anywhere else. There’s no waiting room, no clipboard, and no opening the door when the clock hits 50 minutes.

The Hardest Part Is Walking In the First Time.

Everything after that, we’ve got covered.

Still have questions? Reach out and we’ll get back to you within 24 hours.
